My Body, An Instrument to be Tipped (!)
<p>In Turkey, the custom is to tuck money into the bra or into the skirt of the belly dancer. While I have also witnessed a person sticking money into the dancer’s bracelet, the general habit is to tuck the money in the breast and hip area. These are the secondary sex characteristics of women, according to the science of medicine.</p>
<p>Tipping is also used in other contexts; like pinning money onto the costumes of bride and groom during the wedding ceremony. Yet nobody sticks money into the breasts of the bride, or the pants of the groom!</p>
