Indoorlands Review

Heya folks, Shaun here, and I’m back with my latest review. In this one, I’m covering an indie theme park building game called Indoorlands by Pixelsplit. A big thank you goes out to the developer for the chance to cover the game, it’s much appreciated, thank you!

Indoorlands is a simulation game that revolves around building your own theme park. What sets this game apart from other theme park building games is instead of building outdoor theme parks, like most games in this genre, you’re building indoor theme parks in otherwise inhospitable locations. This is the first time I’ve seen this done in the genre so props to the developers for trying something unique.

Construction of your theme park is very simple to learn in this game. You simply place down themed rooms and then you’re able to fully customize each room. You’re also able to construct your own rollercoasters from scratch, then actually test it yourself by using the game’s test controls. There’s also a camera view that lets you ride the rollercoaster as well. One thing that I think is pretty cool about the customization of the rooms is that everything is rendered in full 3D, allowing you to see visitors wandering around the room. Once your creation is done, you’re also able to upload it to the Steam Workshop for other people to download and use in their game.

The game features two options for starting a new park, but they’re more or less the same. The campaign and Sandbox mode. The only major difference between the two modes is that Sandbox mode allows you to customize your parameters like having infinite money and so on.

Visit Now
