“I’m Pregnant; I’m in College, and I Have a Job; They’re Upset They’ll Have To Look After the Baby,” Daughter On Parents

<p>Having a baby usually means your relationship is more permanent, and you and your partner are probably ready to get engaged or married, but it&rsquo;s not always about a wedding or staying together.</p> <p>And when you find out you&rsquo;re pregnant, and your partner doesn&rsquo;t want anything to do with you, is it ok to count on family and be willing to hear their reproaches?</p> <p>Is having a job and studying reason enough to tell your parents it&rsquo;s not ok to complain about having to help you with their grandchild?</p> <p>My friend, Gina, who lives in Phoenix, Arizona, is in her third year of college. She has a part-time job and is renting an apartment with her friends.</p> <p>She gets along well with her parents, and they visit her often when she can&rsquo;t come home.</p> <blockquote> <p>&ldquo;The only issue I ever had with mom and dad was when I started my relationship with Dean.
