How Deep Thinking Helps Me Solve My Problems

Have you ever found yourself facing a big problem that makes you feel overwhelmed and you don’t know what to do about it?

I’m sure we’ve all been there. I know I have.

It could be either a personal or professional challenge. But I’ve found that beefing up my problem-solving skills by just taking more time to think has helped out a lot.

When I say think, I’m talking about deep thinking, which is the same thing as critical thinking or reflective thinking.

To do this, I get myself in a mental zone so that I can actively and carefully consider my problem from a different lens.

This goes deeper than just a surface-level analysis.

What I do is make a mental effort to thoroughly understand the problem and then I start asking myself probing questions. Then the next thing I do is challenge any assumptions I may be making, and then I examine possible underlying causes of a problem.

When I think deeply, I get a better understanding, I can make better decisions, I practice my problem-solving skills, and I engage my creativity. I’m basically improving myself on several levels with deep thinking.
