Hosting the Games Changes a City
<p>It was in 2010 – 13 years ago this week when we welcomed the world to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. It was an exciting, much-anticipated moment in time when our home was set to shine on the world stage. More to this – the games had brought the city closer together in ways only a large-scale event could, while the iconic Torch Relay wove provinces and connected towns. And rather than estimated completion dates, project teams were on production timelines motivated by a concrete due date and inspired to deliver on promise.</p>
