The Perfect Soundtrack for Your Next Horror Project

What makes for a good horror game soundtrack? I submit to you that it is music and sound that creates an unsettling atmosphere; that increases your heart rate, and lets you know that danger is present… that you need to run or fight.

As we embark on this year’s spooky season, I would love to introduce you to the Whisper Ridge soundtrack. I created this soundtrack specifically to be used in indie horror game projects—below I’ll talk more about the influence behind the tracks and the sound pack’s features.

Music and Sound Inspired by Silent Hill 2

Inspired by the famous survival horror game, Silent Hill 2, Whisper Ridge utilizes similar techniques and the same sonic library used by Akira Yamaoka to create an authentic mysterious ambience one might expect to hear whilst submerged deep within the enigmatic fog of a cursed and abandoned small town.

Featuring 25 loopable tracks, including ambient tracks for exploring, entering a safe zone, wilderness or caverns—or fighting hideous monstrosities that should not be. The pack also includes 24 handcrafted UI sounds perfect for navigating menu screens.
