A case of cultural misrepresentation in Hong Kong context
<p>In “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold”, a popular 8 pm soap opera in Hong Kong, there are a few characters of Filipino descent.</p>
<p>Among them, notably Liza (Leslie Chiang) and Dino (Penny Chan). Liza is Ms Ko (Carisa Yan)’s helper while Dino is Lui Kung’s (Jason Pai) bodyguard.</p>
<p>Having followed the show for some time, I recalled two of the main stereotypes in the characters and representations of Filipino descent:</p>
