Homophobes Mike and Kelly Johnson Visit the Buttigieg Household
<p>This exchange got me imagining how such a visit might go, what might be said, and how these two couples, Pete and Chasten, and Mike and his wife Kelly, might relate to each other.</p>
<h2>Certainly, the tone would be one of superficial politeness.</h2>
<p>These folks are, after all, practitioners of civility and decorum. Pete and Chasten would welcome the pair from Louisiana warmly, with ear-to-ear smiles and hearty handshakes. (However, it seems far fetched that hugs or kisses would be exchanged at the doorway.)</p>
<p>No doubt, Kelly Johnson would be holding a homemade pie in hand; pecan or rhubarb…</p>
