Personally, I could hit mute on any of these movies and enjoy them purely on aesthetics and the achievements of an entire team of creators, designers and visualizers. Alejandro Jodorowsky’s movies are a world apart in terms of visual genius. For minds that pay attention to detail, the first thirty minutes of The Holy Mountain’s setting is enough content to create an entire documentary deciphering each symbol used.
