The Harsh Shadow, The Tree, and The Mink
<p>Yesterday, I walked through the woods quietly. Slow and meditative, I practiced calming my unruly mind and tuning myself to the slow, peaceful energy of the forest.</p>
<p>This is something I often practice when walking. It’s an opportunity to deepen my awareness of the world around and within. I focus on the sounds of the chittering birds, the wind through the grass, the feel of the cold wind on my face, the sensations of my breath, how my hip bones feel, and my feet on the ground.</p>
