Urban cultural tourism. The behavioral study and interaction between Greeks and tourists.
<p>Culture is one of the most vital components of society’s structure, which can refresh and give motion and life to tangible and intangible products and people’s lives. However, what is the meaning of the culture and cultural by-products if people do not appreciate them and do not manage them well? That is where tourism is shown, and it acquires value by focusing on how to turn people’s attention to cultural products and maximize profit. Culture is connected with tourism, and when we refer to modern cities, the theme of urban cultural tourism comes to the fore.</p>
<p>The theoretical background is analyzed in the first part of the Bachelor thesis. It emphasizes how processes and methods of tourism, culture and cultural tourism are used and implied by the cities’ authorities to improve the residents’ living conditions and attract even more visitors. By taking a percentage of the city branding, cities have managed to be converted into city break destinations, and Athens city is one of them.</p>
