73 and Me
<p>For a fresh college graduate moving into Manhattan, a question inevitably arises: how many roommates does it take to live with before finally being able to comfortably get a place on your own? And by “get” I mean rent, although “buy” could certainly apply as well.</p>
<p>Of course the answer to this has a lot to do with what sort of socioeconomic background you’re coming/starting from, the career/income path you’re embarking on, what kind of person you might be, and luck. As a white middle class genial millennial who with a backed-by-loans film degree floated his failed kindergarten dream of becoming a rock star by working production jobs in nonfiction television, I can give one:</p>
