Python Tutorial: Stacked Barplot. Goalscorer dependencies in PES6

Introduction:

Data visualization plays a crucial role in understanding and communicating insights from complex datasets; having diferent data visualization tools allows us to exprime and make sure the information arrives clear to our audience. One popular type of visualization is the bar plot, which allows us to compare the values of different categories or variables. However, in some cases, we may want to go beyond simple comparisons and explore the dependencies between variables. This is where the concept of what I like to call “dependency barplot” comes into play.

A dependency bar plot extends the traditional bar plot by visualizing the relationship between the main variable of the barplot and all the variables inside of it. It allows us to see how the value of the barplot is reached. This type of plot is particularly useful when analyzing data where multiple factors contribute to an outcome, and understanding the dependencies can provide valuable insights. It is also called stacked barplot.
