Why the French Make Fun of Belgians — They’re Just Like Us!
<p>I love comedies, and one of my all-time favorite comedies is the 1998 French comedy film,<em> Le Dîner de Cons</em>. With the majority of the film being shot in one location, use of rapid-fire dialogue, witty wordplay, and superb acting, sometimes that’s all it takes to make a good film.</p>
<p>There was a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K_3aq2dChU" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">particular scene</a> where one of the main characters named François Pignon was solicited by the other main character to call a writer friend to inquire about his wife’s whereabouts. Pignon pretended to be a Belgian film producer, funny stereotypical accent and all, interested in turning the writer’s recent novel into a film.</p>
