The illusion of free choice

<p>Some people might claim that the FTRL Blog is too hard on buses, especially buses that use the expressway for significant portions of their routes. They may be right. But, as always, there is a story behind it. A story that must be told in order to understand shaping experiences. To paraphrase the recent Oppenheimer movie, do we really understand something until we&rsquo;ve come to rely on it?</p> <p>Ultimately, I think the question is about whether people truly appreciate the cost of human congestion. Let me be clear: this was in 2021, which had periods of lesser traffic due to the then-current public health measures; I doubt things have significantly improved since the economic recovery.
