My Brain Finally Decided It Likes Math After Six Frustrating Decades
<p>Sometimes I amaze myself. Sometimes, things happen that I can’t explain. Sometimes, I write creative stories with twists and turns but do not know where the inspiration comes from.</p>
<p>And now, my latest mental adventure is math. A latent ability to understand math has woken up within me.</p>
<p>All kinds of math. The type of math that I hated in high school and tried to avoid in college.</p>
<p>I’m not talking about basic math. I’m talking about a genuine interest in complex formulas with significant numbers intermingled with geometry and trigonometry. I’ve become intrigued with measurements, conversions, angles, and deviations. All the things my high school math teacher taught but never explained why we needed to learn them.</p>
