Frank Drake: The Astronomer Who Searched for Life in the Universe

<p>Frank Drake was an American astronomer and astrophysicist who founded the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) program. He is also known for creating the equation that bears his name, which estimates the number of extraterrestrial civilizations that could exist in the universe.</p> <p>Drake was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1930. He studied astronomy at Cornell University and received his Ph.D. in 1956.
