Amsterdam: the food spots that made my first weeks there and left a mark in my heart (part 1)

I only moved to Amsterdam a year ago but I am very excited to share with you the spots that I stumbled upon in my first food adventures there. I am in no way the voice of truth about what is nice or not, but I strongly believe in not keeping any deliciousness just for me.

For a calm sunday afternoon where you crave the sweetness of Italy:

A Volo

Haarlemmerdijk 188, 1013 JK Amsterdam

As soon as you enter this small café in the busy Haarlemmerdijk, you land right in Napoli, in the middle of a dozen of Italian chatting away while drinking espresso. And this is GREAT. But there is better: On the counter you can find nice fresh pizzas to buy by the slice, a dozen of luxurious cannolis, fresh burrata, mortadella and a georgous gorgonzola that makes me want to scream every time I eat it in my panini. Over there, everything is simple but crazy good. Take a book, go there, order a slice of pizza and only get your butt out of your seat to order more.

Website
