<p>Yo, what’s good y’all? BL here, and I gotta tell you, I had one of the most incredible experiences of my life when I decided to get to know the favelas of Rio de Janeiro up close.</p>
<p>Now, I know some of y’all might be thinking, “BL, why in the world would you wanna go to the favelas? Ain’t that dangerous and stuff?” And to be real, I had the same thoughts at first. But, I also know that as a filmmaker, it’s my job to tell the stories of the marginalized and underrepresented communities, and the favelas of Rio de Janeiro is definitely one of them.</p>
