<p>The usual assumption in life is that when I say the word turquoise as a descriptor, the person to whom I am speaking <em>knows </em>what what turquoise is. If we were both looking at the image above, we would both know.</p>
<p>If you think about it, though, there are an awful lot of turquoises, no?</p>
<p>Do I mean: turquoise as in the gemstone? Green turquoise or Blue turquoise? Teal? Peacock eye turquoise? Turquoise going toward green? Or turquoise going toward indigo? It’s a lot to think about!</p>
