Whose Fault Is It Anyway?

They’re at it again. The two of them, fighting. We kids sit here, forced to watch. It’s another rerun of the episode where they swear the other one is the real threat to improving this dire circumstance we find ourselves in. The truth is, they’ll both enjoy the spoils of this charade. This con they play for us when they need to keep the party going. Deep down they both are intoxicated and corrupted by the same desire for power. They don’t want to admit that. They point fingers and dig trenches on their respective high grounds as to maintain the facade of a moral superiority over one another. But behind closed doors, they together inhale this power we supply them with and feel like conquerors of an earth they are too high to realize they are disintegrating into.
