BART’s Fare Model: Price and Income Elasticity of Demand

<p>In my previous piece, I delved into Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) ridership patterns from 1998 to Aug 2023, scrutinizing the disparities between weekday and weekend usage, identifying the most frequented stations both before and after the pandemic, and evaluating how different counties recovered post-pandemic. The crux of my analysis revealed that roughly 85% of the total monthly ridership occurs on weekdays. Post-pandemic, San Francisco County exhibited the swiftest recovery, closely followed by Alameda County.
