I Want to Explain Arranged Marriage to People in the West
<p>Times have changed. People have changed. Customs and the implementation of those are also changing. We are no longer living in a period, where the woman meets the man on the day of marriage, and they live happily ever after. No, it doesn’t happen anymore. Or I would say it has reduced tremendously (at least in cities).</p>
<p>The parents and bride/groom, both come to common grounds about the requirements, and in the process of “matchmaking”. For the parents, at the end of the day, they just want their child to stay happy, and for us, we get our “wish list” ticked. So it is a win-win situation for both parties.</p>
