Execution Pace Has Slowed Dramatically

<p>The rapid pace of Oklahoma executions set during John O&rsquo;Connor&rsquo;s time as Oklahoma Attorney General has slowed dramatically.</p> <p>Oklahoma recently led the nation with&nbsp;<a href="https://deathpenaltyinfo.org/executions/upcoming-executions" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">13 scheduled executions</a>, when only three other states had any scheduled at all: Ohio, which has nine on the calendar, plus Texas and Alabama with one each.
