Review — Eternights

In September, we saw the digital release of Eternights, a new game by the Korean-based Studio Sai who will also release the game physically for PlayStation 4 and 5 in November. The game is essentially a one-man project that started out as a hobby in 2019. It became more than a passion project as the developer game up his full-time job to continue working on the game. The result is a remarkable little indie JRPG will certainly appeal to those who enjoy this genre, even if there are some flaws in the game.

Time to Save the World Again

The story of Eternights seems to take place in a not to distant future where a company called Eternights is developing an anti-aging medicine. Things go horribly wrong when explosions in the factory sets of a catastrophes that turns humans into bloodthirsty monsters and a weird wall appears around the city of Seoul. In this chaos, you play as a self-named character who tries to escape with his best friend Chani. As the two make their way to an underground bunker, they meet Yuna, a popular idol who’s on the run herself. After an encounter with a mysterious woman who cuts of your arm, the group gets dragged into a battle that will decide the fate of the world.
