A New Era of Thinness

Yes, celebrity culture is undeniably different. And yes, beauty standards in celebrity culture have historically, and continuously, championed thinness as an ideal concept of beauty trend setting and maintaining. But I cannot be the only one who looked at all the (mostly A-List) celebrities at the Oscars and thought, “My God, everyone is that much thinner.” There’s thinness… and then there’s THINNESS. And of course, there is a lot of pressure that celebrities, for the most part female celebrities, have to deal with in their demands (mostly by others) to be thin. I think, if we were to analyze the majority of female celebrities and their relationship to ideals of thinness and eating norms, we would find that most have serious relational problems to both of these aspects. <a href="https://medium.com/@maddiemedensky/a-new-era-of-thinness-c1ebcddda578">Click Here</a>
