Enlightenment is for Everyone

<p>After Buddha&rsquo;s enlightenment he was asked if he was a God. He responded. I am Awake. This was a simple truth yet over the years it became very complicated. Enlightenment became a goal that only special people could attain. The Buddhist View is a few of us are Awake and the rest of us are Ignorant. Maybe in a million life times you will wake up. But this ignores the Reality that everyone is Awake. Nobody has more Awareness than anyone else. The difference between you and Enlightened person is the focus of Awareness. The Majority of human beings focus their Awareness on the Ego. This focus is 100% ego-centric. That person is not Awake in a Buddhist sense.
