A Mysterious West Texas Building and the Elusive Spider Rock Treasure

Many West Texans are unaware of the Spider Rock Treasure hunt that began when a random man from Mexico showed up in Haskell, Texas with a sheepskin map that mysteriously led him to not one, but three rocks bearing symbols carved in stone indicating a “lost Spanish treasure” could be where X marks the spot.

I am personally not a treasure hunter, but have recently been digging into the tangle of webs that these rocks have made and the different accounts and research two historians have documented. You can read all about the Spider Rock Treasure in a book written by Steve Wilson, and you can find it on Amazon right here.
