Migration of a Workload running in a Corporate Data Center to AWS using the Amazon EC2 and RDS service.

In this project, which mirrors a real-world scenario, I assumed the role of a Cloud Specialist tasked with migrating a workload from a Corporate DataCenter to AWS. This migration involved relocating both the application and database using the Lift & Shift (rehost) model, including all associated data.

The migration process followed these steps:

1. Planning: This included activities such as sizing, specifying prerequisites, and assigning resource names.

2. Execution: Resource provisioning and adherence to best practices were the focus during this phase.

3. Go-Live: This phase encompassed validation tests like dry-runs, and the final migration, known as the cutover.

4. Post Go-Live: This phase ensured the operation of the application and maintained user access.

Website
