Using Augmented Reality to Bring Dinosaurs Skeletons to Life — a Tutorial
<p>Hi. I’m Florent Germain, a French engineer working with Industrial Augmented Reality during the day, and printing dinosaurs skeletons at night.</p>
<p>I’ve recently entertained the idea to combine my day job with my 3D printing hobby, in order to build a small AR-powered museum for my daughters and I.</p>
<p>The base idea is quite simple: 3D print, assemble and paint a skeleton; use computer vision technology to recognize and track it in space; overlay a 3D design of the fleshed-out animal on top of it. Here is what it looks like:</p>
