Democratic Lotteries
<p>Politics used to be boring. However, within the last five years or so, it has become the epicenter of mud slinging, name-calling, erratic statements, and futile drama. American political parties date back to the 18th century and have always been rivals. That’s the nature of American politics, sure. But the rivalry has gone from being as civil as two equally patriotic football teams to the nastiest of divorces with the poor, confused, American people caught in the middle, just like a child. The public has watched on as The House and Senate habitually block one another from making any progress as if the issue areas of America’s communities were a ball game. One team pitches or kicks and the other team blocks them from scoring. And it is becoming evident to some that nearly any citizen would be capable of serving as a representative or as a senator. The bizarre and reckless behavior of some of our most powerful leaders has made them appear as no more qualified for the position as well… anyone.</p>
