Sorry God, I Kissed a Girl, and I Definitely Liked It
<p>Trying to figure out your queer identity is already a challenging, tricky, confusing period of your life. However, throwing strict, private Catholic School teachings into the mix vastly complicated things.</p>
<p>I attended Catholic School from Kindergarten all the way up until 10th grade. We came from the same community, all the parents knew each other, and there were the same 23–25 kids per entire grade throughout all those years. For anyone else who came from a cliché community like this, you know how dreadfully boring and mundane it eventually becomes.</p>
<p>The city where I live isn’t small in a literal sense, not by a long shot, but going through the repetitive motions, the identical childhood sequences in a school like this certainly makes your world feel awfully tiny.</p>
