The Non-DaVinci Architect

I had just successfully made a three-pointer with the 15th sheet from my sketch pad into the dustbin in my room, whilst sitting at my drawing table trying to draw human beings for my anthropometrics sheet.

Will I ever get this right? Why wasn't I born with Da Vinci's drawing prowess?

This Architecture thing was harder than I thought, because even stick figures looked more elegant than what I was bringing to life on my paper.

"Ahhh, but you're an Architect? It means you can draw"

If only people knew how much that statement taunted me, I couldn’t draw to save my architecture life- or so I thought.

Architecture is one discipline that expresses the creative process visually, Through sketches and models (physical and virtual), so ofcourse you’re right, Architects do know how to draw, but during preliminary studies (idea formation stage)to capture and express ideas, they use a unique method called sketching.
