If Darkness Creeps Over You
<p>Darkness seeped through the walls. The unhappy woman upstairs who vacuumed at 1AM. The raging noise commandant to my left who shouted obscenities when she did.</p>
<p>Three young woman on my right who packed Sex In The City into a tiny studio nightly. The vibes they sent after I pound on the wall, the looks if we crossed paths… negativity, daggers or complete entitled disregard.</p>
<p>And, just to drive it home, my husband erupts at every bang and laugh like it’s a personal attack.</p>
<p>I could find no escape from the heavy emotions. They shrouded me, pulling me down. Damn being an empath is no fun. I crumpled over like a beleaguered Eeyore.</p>
