El que reza y peca, empata: Understanding Colombia’s Cultural Contradictions
<p>Foreigners studying or living in Colombia often find that societal customs and the local way of life here are at once familiar, but refreshingly different, from those they’re used to back home.</p>
<p>To be perfectly frank, the various different components of Colombia’s culture do not seem to add up to a coherent whole, given the many contradictions evident in local society. Here, I provide a short overview of the most important aspects and beliefs governing people’s everyday lives in the country.</p>
