Travelogue : Abu Dhabi and Dubai — Crown Jewels of the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates comprises 7 emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quain. Of the 7 emirates, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the most well-known and most visited by tourists. For this reason coupled with the fact that they are the ones I have visited, this travelogue will be about Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It is said that a country’s first window to the outside world is its airport. I share a different view. I think a country’s first window to the outside world is the aerial view you see as the plane descends for landing especially at night time arrival. The night time aerial view of Abu Dhabi and Dubai is a spectacular visual of illumination.
