Explaining the crime wave of the 1980's.
<p>I’ve written a few posts about the increase in 2020. A more interesting question is why things were so much worse in the 1980's.</p>
<p>Public perception tends to be confused. A majority of voters <a href="https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2016/11/10/a-divided-and-pessimistic-electorate/#voters-said-there-has-been-scant-progress-across-most-areas" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">think that crime gets worse, every year</a>. But the reality is that there are trends, it comes and goes for various reasons.</p>
