The Country Who Cried Wolf

<p>Each day we see, or hear about, the polarization of people&rsquo;s experiences. Our psyche&rsquo;s get put into fight/flight mode; arguments of reason replaced by arguments of extremes. Or we disconnect, because choosing sides offers more stress than comfort. Humanity, it seems, has gotten to a place where people must prove, often in the face of vile shouts and intimidation, the validity of their experiences. The right to call one&rsquo;s own experiences what we perceive them to be is not guaranteed.</p> <p>The backdrop of our discourse too often being public forums that have evolved into gauntlets putting us in &ldquo;gotcha&rdquo; spaces, not of our creation. Mistrust has filtered into our lives making it necessary to guard our words, postures and feelings. Which, in a world faced with life threatening issues, pushes too many into the abyss of crisis.
