The 1992 Cowgirl Boots

“Have you seen my cowboy boots? I can’t find them anywhere I lamented.” I hadn’t seen my 1992 cowboy boots since we moved house two years ago. Like so many fashion trends that have come and gone, the cowboy boot was trending and paired with soft touches like scarves and lace accents. It had been a while since my brown suede Calamex cowboy boots had come back in style. I pulled them back out here and there, especially around Halloween from the late 90s to early 2000s. Then something funny happened: they collected dust as the meaning behind the boots emerged.
