<p>Although the Drowned Meadow Cottage Museum is not open to the public often, a visit that takes one through the famed history of Port Jefferson’s American Revolution ties — back when the town was known as Drowned Meadow, its colonial name — is worth it to see rare documents and a clear portrayal of Drowned Meadow’s side of the conflict first-hand.</p>
