Race, Place, Colour, Confusion
<p>I’m on a self-imposed exile from the outside world this week. I have a deadline with my debut novel that I need to meet. I have a mountain of research in front of me that has to be reviewed before I finish the book. I’ve been neglecting Medium as a result. There are only so many hours in a day.</p>
<p>But today, I have things to say. For some reason, I was on YouTube and came across an old Dr. Phil episode (gag, I know) of his interview with Racheal Dolezal. You know the blonde-haired, blue-eyed cultural appropriator and full-on liar, who claimed to be Black or have Black ancestry. I felt a type of way when it first broke and seeing it again today.</p>
