Kowloon Walled City: Inside The City of Darkness

Imagine a city where the buildings are so condensed together that sunlight never touches the street — a place where the air fills with the noises, smells, and fumes produced by apartment-sized factories and slaughterhouses.

Here, the water dripping from the zig-zag of makeshift plumbing lines and the condensation of air conditioners is so severe that it necessitates you to use an umbrella. And the only escape from the sheer amount of humanity that surrounds you is to walk up 14 floors to the antenna and trash-covered rooftops.
