Chris Christie Brought Up an Excellent Point About Ron DeSantis.
<p>Say what you will about former New Jersey governor Chris Christie and his chances of ever actually getting elected President, but the man does know how to campaign. He’s tapped into an aggressive style that can resonate with the base to some degree, without going overboard. The man knows how to attack and when, and this time Christie made Ron DeSantis his latest target.</p>

He voted against Sandy aid in 2012 as a member of the House, and now he wants aid. <p>He’s not wrong, is he?</p>
<p>But, unfortunately this seems to be the fundamental nature of the Republican Party.</p>
<p>The Republican Party base seems largely hardwired to care very little if at all about anyone outside of their circle. If it’s not affecting them, their communities, or their loved ones, it simply does not matter. But the moment it’s their turn to need help, suddenly that sentiment no longer applies and it’s simply a given that as a society we should render aid and take care of each other.</p>
