The US opioid crisis and chemical weapons
<p>I wanted to follow up some of the fantastic and less-than-fantastic posts above with a reminder that, while this is obviously an important and emotional issue, we’re all here discussing this because we want the same thing — to do the right thing as (volunteers) for the participants of our (event). While we may not agree on how to get there, it’s important that we utilize useful, constructive, and professional communication methods to get our points across. If you feel your emotions getting the better of you, don’t be afraid to step away for a little bit to give yourself time to formulate a more effective way to communicate what you think and how you feel.</p>
<p>That said, I wanted to address some of the numbers behind the seriousness of this problem, and why I feel that traditional methods of responding to this crisis aren’t sufficient.</p>
