Qantas vs Cathay Pacific

After booking my ticket to London, I’m starting to realise the folly of my instant decision. So I’m trying to reduce the impact of two long flights on my body, in particular my legs.

So, today I called Qantas to check if there was a possibility that I could alter my booking to have two nights in Hong Kong for two reasons: to see a little more of Hong Kong and to give my legs a break between flights.

Qantas told me one of the conditions on my ticket was no stopovers. In that 7-page document called an e-ticket, I saw no mention of it. Then I asked about seat selection and if and when could I choose.
