Being an “old cat lady” is the new way to retire
<p>As a 31 year old woman, I often think about retirement, it’s far away but the current state of the world has done no favours to me and forced me to think about the world. For married couples, the thought of retirement may evoke images of leisurely days spent traveling together, indulging in hobbies, and spending quality time with their grandchildren. However, for some older single women, the idea of retirement seems to make others around them concerned and bitchy. They are often met with negative stereotypes and assumptions, especially if they choose to spend their golden years as an “old cat lady.”</p>
