Why I Wish I Would’ve Tried Cannabis Earlier in Life
<p>Like many of you, I grew up surrounded by people who used marijuana. I was taught it was taboo and off-limits, so I somehow managed to make it through both high school and <em>art school</em> without using it. <em>And looking back at my life, I regret that choice now.</em></p>
<p>I definitely could have used a dose of chill in my youth, as I was a highly anxious teenager/young adult. But I did what many kids did and still do, albeit in <a href="https://www.statista.com/topics/10763/gen-z-alcohol-consumption-in-the-us/#topicOverview" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">lesser numbers</a>: I drank alcohol. However, while alcohol numbed my negative feelings, it probably increased my suffering in the long term. It is a <em>depressant,</em> after all.</p>
