Watching Peacocks in California
<p>I saw a peacock picture and could not stop marveling. It’s easily one of the most beautiful birds. Huge, with a long indigo neck, head crest, and resplendent, iridescent plumage. If it spreads its tail, it can mesmerize the beholder.</p>

<p>It’s the National bird of India, no wonder. Lord Krishna wears a peacock plume. It's the vehicle of the war-god Kartikeya or Murugan. Many Indian poets have immortalized the bird.</p>
