A Birding Break

My world is small, mostly due to my husband’s health, but also because we’re still very cautious about Covid.

Besides Ben’s twice-weekly dialysis sessions, our grocery and pharmacy runs, and my short drives to client offices, my time is spent at home or walking through our neighborhood. No more New York City vacations. No more getaways to the quaint town of Mount Dora southwest of us or to St. Augustine east of us. No more visits to Ben’s sister in South Florida.

That’s why I need my birding trips with my friend Gina. We stay within 40 miles of home, usually remaining in our county. They may seem like small, inconsequential trips, but they are my lifelines.
