This report describes part of an experiment that tested ChatGPT’s ability to identify bird species from images. This report provides a case study of ChatGPT’s new image capabilities [1]. I wanted to see how ChatGPT’s image recognition performance for birds could be improved by providing more information — both image and conversational.
